Key Accounts Manager – Internet Retail and Wholesale

The job: One of the UK’s leading international educational and academic publishers is looking for an experienced Key Accounts Manager to manage the internet retail and wholesale channel for their Academic & Professional Sales Division. Reporting to the Sales Director, the person appointed will be responsible for maximising turnover through key internet accounts and the websites of other major customers. Building and managing strong customer relationships with key UK and European partners, developing the business by driving innovative sales and marketing activity, and monitoring marketplace developments to identify and drive new business opportunities are all important elements of this highly proactive, busy role.

The person: Candidates should be graduates, ideally with at least two years’ relevant sales experience within publishing, and preferably have good knowledge and experience of working with internet retail accounts with a strong web presence. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of the publishing supply chain and a strong interest in the internet, new media and ecommerce. Commercially-minded, with strong negotiation and communication skills, the person appointed will need to be highly skilled in establishing and building productive relationships, well-organised and highly resourceful, with a results-focused, self-motivated approach to successful business development.

Salary: Up to £30.5k pa, depending on experience, plus attractive benefits
