The job: A well-established and highly creative, international trade publisher, with a reputation for innovative and exciting children’s books, is looking for a high-energy Managing Editor to assist with the continued expansion of their children’s non-fiction list.
Reporting to the Publishing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing new titles and for budgeting, scheduling and overseeing the publishing process.

The person: Candidates will have several years experience; proven management skills; wide-ranging contacts with freelancers, authors, artists and designers; a track record of being involved with clever, commercial children’s non-fiction and an excellent knowledge of the market place. Working as part of a small, professional and creative team and prepared to multi-task in what is a very flexible environment are key elements of the role. Candidates must have excellent team playing and first-class communication skills.

Salary: Excellent salary, depending on experience.
