[Licensing] Sales Manager EMEA

The job: A leading global media company that owns, manages and develops well known brands including classic characters and iconic fiction authors has asked us to find a licensing Sales Manager to join their busy Sales team. Reporting directly to the Senior Territory Manager the person appointed will be involved with all media and all brands within allocated territories. The primary purpose of the role is to maximise the revenue generated by the brands by developing sales of publishing, licensing, home entertainment and other commercial rights. Primary responsibilities include: working with the Senior Territory Manager to develop a brand implementation plan including budgets and forecasts; developing and maintaining relationships with key licensees, partners, agents or distributors; identifying, negotiating and closing the sale of rights agreements and seeking out and negotiating Direct to Retail rights agreements.

The person: Candidates will need substantial, relevant sales experience in publishing, licensing or a related industry (e.g., toys, apparel). Demonstrable deal-making experience plus strong negotiation skills are essential along with proven experience of achieving and exceeding sales targets. Fluency in a European language is an advantage, as is experience of Direct to Retail licensing and International trade exposure. Excellent oral and written communication skills should be matched with a positive approach and the ability to work collaboratively in order to achieve shared business objectives. The role will suit someone with a clear interest in licensing with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and who is flexible and willing to travel.

Salary: Excellent salary depending on experience.
