The job: A young, dynamic and exciting educational publishing company is looking for an experienced export sales / marketing professional, to continue the development of Europe and other world-wide territories for its new range of innovative and high-quality primary teaching materials, which focus initially on ELT and Modern Foreign Language teaching. The successful candidate will develop profitable relationships with publishers, distributors, agents, companies/operators – many at a senior level. The role will include identifying opportunities and negotiating terms in new territories. This is a hands-on role with considerable potential to help with the continuing process of establishing a relatively new player in this exciting and fast changing market. The job holder will also be expected to play a constructive role within the wider business of developing sales and marketing strategies. Overseas travel is an integral part of this key role.

The person: With a solid educational background, at least to degree level, candidates should have a proven record in selling, marketing and business development in publishing. Sales experience in the ELT, education or academic publishing sector will be an advantage. Enthusiasm, drive, and the ability to build good relationships are critical. Candidates should be energetic and proactive. Fluency in a second language would be a positive advantage.
