The job: A high profile publishing company is looking for an experienced Non Fiction Publisher. Reporting to the MD, the jobholder will take responsibility for the non-fiction publishing programme including management of the publishing team. They will oversee the high-profile development strategy for its current publishing programme, and will also create and develop an innovative, market-led list of titles. The role will require the development of the company's list building and product development strategies, also researching and sourcing authors and contributors, and building relationships. They will oversee all editorial content, and maintain publishing schedules and quality, keeping in touch with the marketplace, contributing to marketing campaigns and identifying rights and co-editions prospects.

The person: Ideally with at least five years' experience at senior level, candidates will have a successful track record of developing and managing non-fiction lists. A sound background in driving tasks and projects and effectively managing a team should be complemented by well-developed business sense, commercial awareness and judgement. Confident and influential communicator at all levels, candidates should also be able to demonstrate an ability to create and develop innovative market leading ideas, products and opportunities.
