The job: A highly regarded packager and publisher of creative illustrated handbooks and guides for the life & style, gift & humour, reference and teen markets is looking for a Finance and Administration Manager. This is a varied role that involves finance, contracts and office management. Responsibilities will include raising / negotiating contracts, finance management including credit control and assisting the production team with management of files, payments and scheduling. Also taking responsibility as the executive assistant to the Director working on high level business matters. The management of a Bookkeeper and general administration including preparation and organisation for major book fairs are all key responsibilities in this small independent publishing company. The person: The ideal applicant will have bookkeeping, contract and administration experience ideally gained within a book publishing environment. They will be a highly organised administrator with ability to use Sage or other finance software. Other important skills include cost control, contracts, scheduling and customer service. The role will suit a good all rounder who is willing to undertake many tasks to ensure the efficient running of the company. Salary: Negotiable depending on experience.
