The job: A dynamic library and information business providing services in the UK and internationally in over 150 countries are looking to recruit a Sales Account Manager for the UK and Ireland. The company is an industry leader in innovation and in shaping the future of book and electronic content acquisition in the world of learning. Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director the Sales Account Manager will be responsible for achieving or exceeding agreed sales targets and objectives and contributing to the development of sales plans. First class service standards are of most importance and with customer satisfaction paramount the Sales Account Manager will be responsible for driving new business, optimising existing relationships and ensuring ongoing retention. The role will primarily be field / home based with attendance at the head office on occasions.

The person: The successful candidate will need solid sales experience and proven expert selling techniques. Knowledge of the book / library markets would be advantageous. Knowledge of CRM systems and competence in the use of MS office are also required. The role will suit a self motivated and driven sales person with excellent communication and presentation skills, good organizational and planning abilities and strong commercial acumen.
