The job: A long established leading international electronic publisher and information management specialist for research, commercial and educational organisations is looking for two Area Sales Managers to be based in the Dubai area of UAE, to further develop sales and new business opportunities for key products and services in the territory. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be fully involved in building and fostering existing business relations within the territory and developing new prospective clients and opportunities, to achieve annual sales targets and increase business across the territory. This will involve making direct regular contact with customers and demonstrating products, plus preparing sales forecasts, analyses and reports, attending exhibitions, and supporting and managing distributor activity.

The person: Ideally graduates, candidates should be fluent in English and Arabic, have proven sales experience, with excellent communication and organisational skills, plus a professional approach and articulate style. Computer literacy, with a good knowledge of Windows and MS Office, are important requirements for the role. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in publishing, especially electronic, who have a sound background in negotiations and sales development, able to demonstrate a positive, results-focused approach and successful relationship management skills. Previous experience of selling across the territory is also an important requirement, together with knowledge of Internet and CD-ROM and some office management experience.

Salary: c. £35k pa, (200,000 drms) depending on experience, plus car allowance and commission/bonus.
