The job: A well established and highly regarded printer of high quality colour books is looking to appoint an experienced Sales Representative to sell to European book publishers on behalf of the parent company. The person appointed will contact and visit European clients / prospects, present quotations, and liaise with the factory’s production staff during production of relevant print jobs. They will also attend trade fairs and other promotional events. Some major UK publishers already deal directly with this printer, but the successful candidate will also have scope to open up and service new accounts in the UK.

The person: The ideal candidate will be an energetic self-starter with a proven track record in print sales, ideally with experience of selling for an overseas book printer, and will have a very sound knowledge of high quality colour printing. Fluency in European languages in addition to English is required, and the candidate could be based in the UK or in mainland Europe. The role would suit candidates with excellent communication and negotiation skills, good knowledge of the book publishing industry and a strong commercial instinct.
