The job: A leading publisher of reference and professional textbooks, journals and online resources are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic Sales Manager to join their sales team. Reporting to the Sales Director the main purpose of the role is to drive sales in the UK & Ireland and will include managing the UK Trade and Campus Sales teams, planning and implementing a strategic sales plan, organising university sales campaigns and building long-term relationships with key accounts throughout the UK and Ireland. Other duties include motivating, training and developing the sales team.

The person: Candidates will need an impressive sales track record preferably gained in the academic or educational sectors. Strong presentation and communication skills are essential. Candidates will also need previous experience of managing a sales team. Excellent numerical and analytical and organisational skills are also required and should be accompanied by demonstrable ability to build and sustain strong commercial and professional relationships.
