The job: One of the UK's leading providers of information management services is looking for an experienced Account Manager to manage client relationships for a number of their key accounts, to ensure the highest possible level of service, secure new business opportunities, and to maximise sales of products. The person appointed will be fully involved in building publishing activities and developing new products with clients; overseeing sales strategy and monitoring marketplace; using market information and data to create a thorough overview of progress for the product portfolio; and working closely with the Marketing team in the development of marketing communications strategies, to ensure products are effectively customer and client focused. The person: Ideally educated to degree level, candidates will need a strong background within a publishing sales environment, especially within information management and/or professional publishing, preferably within the public sector, plus a successful track record of achieving sales targets. Experience of managing health related content would also be a valuable asset. The successful candidate should be analytical, with attention to detail, and have experience of managing complex publishing projects and opportunities. With successful relationship management ability, knowledge of electronic publishing processes, a proactive approach to project planning and management, sound commercial awareness, and confident, articulate communication skills, applicants will also need to be highly focused, well-organised and positive, active team players.
