The job: The UK's largest disability campaigning network is seeking to appoint a Head of Publishing to be responsible for the delivery of its commercial publishing programme and events activities. Through its trading company, this charity provides a range of innovative publications written by and for people with personal experience of ill-health, injury or disability. Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive, the successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the brand and portfolio of publications, delivering new titles and online products, marketing and building high level corporate relationships and partners

The person: Candidates will need a strong background in book, magazine or online publishing with a track record of commercial or income generating success. Marketing experience, understanding of publishing processes and knowledge of channels to market are essential, and experience of securing sponsorship is highly desirable. Interest in corporate social responsibility, equality/diversity priorities in business and/or of the disability sector would also be a strong advantage. Other requirements include relationship building skills and the ability to make and close deals, as well as good project, financial and personnel management abilities.

Salary: c. £40-45k
