The job: A well known professional body in the area of management and development are seeking a Senior Commissioning Editor to direct and shape new product lines including video and online learning. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategically reviewing new product development, researching and proposing new products, and repurposing content from resources already held. They will also research, plan, commission and negotiate contracts with authors.  The job holder is responsible for all stages of development and ensuring all products are delivered according to agreed budgets and timescales. Proactively liaising with internal colleagues and third party suppliers to ensure all products are developed to appropriate standards is also an important aspect of the role.

The person: Educated to degree level or equivalent candidates will need proven commissioning and strategic list management skills and the ability to develop products in new formats. Project management experience and evidence of successful list building are essential, and an interest in, and knowledge of, HR and Training Markets highly desirable. Candidates will also need strong business awareness and good finance skills along with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Salary: £30 – 35k depending on experience.
