The job: A well established educational and reference publisher is looking for an International Sales Manager to promote and sell the company's ELT materials in a variety of territories. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and delivering innovative business development and sales initiatives to grow existing business and develop new markets to agreed sales targets. Key aspects of the role will be identifying and negotiating terms in territories where the company does not as yet have distributors, and working closely with the Marketing Manager to manage distribution activity including operational issues. Based in the Central London office, the job will involve international travel. The person: With a sound educational background, and a passion for selling, candidates will have several years' sales experience ideally gained within an ELT publisher, promoting and selling ELT materials in international markets. A language teaching qualification (or similar) would be an advantage. Energetic and tenacious, applicants should have excellent organisation and customer service skills, the ability to communicate confidently at all levels and a talent for negotiation and presentation. A positive team player and self starter with the ability to motivate people, the successful candidate will possess acute commercial awareness, and have the ability to use their initiative in the pursuit of overall company objectives.
