The job: A major new venture with a Hong Kong owned state of the art book publishing plant based in China, is looking to appoint an experienced Sales Executive to sell to UK book publishers on behalf of the parent company. The person appointed will contact and visit UK clients / prospects, present quotations, with personal control of pricing, and liaise with the Hong Kong office and UK production staff during production of relevant print jobs. They will also attend trade fairs and other promotional events and work alongside the rest of the UK team to implement advertising and marketing. A further aspect of the role will be visiting the company plant in China at least once a year.

The person: The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in selling for an overseas book printer or may currently be a Publishing company production controller / Manager who is considering crossing over from buying to selling. The role would suit candidates with excellent communication and negotiation skills, good knowledge of the book publishing industry and a strong commercial instinct.

Salary: c £30 - 50k depending on experience plus possible commission and benefits
