The job: A successful publisher of fresh, vibrant, high quality children's books that prides itself as being at the forefront of current trends is recruiting for a experienced Senior Children's Editor. Reporting to the Managing Editor, the person appointed will work on a wide range of children's titles aimed primarily at the 0-10 age group. This is a newly created role and is a relatively senior appointment to a small and friendly editorial team, offering an excellent opportunity to work on a wide range of highly creative and innovative products.

The person: Excellent children's experience and a good understanding of age groups should be matched with a clear idea of what looks good, works and sells. A good grasp of how to produce material that is relevant to a particular age is essential, and teaching experience, particularly within the relevant age group could be an advantage. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential and should be matched with the ability to work to a brief both speedily and effectively. The role will suit an experienced and creative children's editor who would fit well into a small team and who would be keen to contribute to the development process of an exciting and varied range of products.

Salary: Up to 30k depending on experience.
