The job: A major provider of consultancy and research in the telecommunications, IT and media industries is looking for an Editor to work in their either their London Cambridge office. Reporting to the Resource Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for editing quality, ensuring consistent and accurate material for consultancy reports, proposals and presentations, and assisting with the preparation of conference papers and articles for publication. This will involve structural editing, copy-editing, proof-reading, preparation of text and graphics and consistent application and maintenance of house style.

The person: Educated to a good standard in an appropriate subject, candidates should have relevant experience in a similar position. Commitment to the highest standards of quality and accuracy are essential as are attention to detail and the ability to work in and organised fashion without constant direct supervision, often to tight deadlines. A good understanding of word processing and excellent numeracy skills are also essential requirements. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, intelligent and sociable with excellent communication skills and a flexible attitude.
